Mr. Freedman and his partner Marion Scott began MSI over 30 years ago.  Together they have developed and sold portfolio companies since 1990.  Mr. Freedman was instrumental in drawing attention to the industry, and by 2005, grew MSI into a vertically integrated company that managed over 28,000 apartments with real estate valued at over $5 Billion.

Later in 2005, after the founders sold 4,000 apartments from their portfolio, Mr. Freedman focused his efforts on rebuilding Co-Op City in the Bronx, the largest cooperative development in the world.  He was in charge of its day-to-day operations with over 15,372 apartments and 75,000 residents. A pioneer in creative solutions, Mr. Freedman helped obtain a $621 Million loan at 2.4%, which enabled the community to undertake $300 Million in repairs including the construction of a 40-Megawatt Power Plant.

Prior to 1990, Mr. Freedman spent most of his career as an attorney representing national and multi-national corporations in various industries. A native New Yorker, Mr. Freedman earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from Hunter College.
